Diocesan Catholic Committee on Girl Scouting

The Catholic Committee on Scouting for Girls of the Office for Youth and Young Adults in the Diocese of Greensburg are volunteers dedicated to the advancement of the spiritual and Catholic dimension of the Girl Scout program. With the girls in mind this is accomplished through the religious emblems, recognition, adult training and spiritual events that enhance the Girl Scout ideals.

Diocesan Scout Retreatoree



All Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in Grade 5 and up are invited to attend this fun-filled weekend on September 17 to 19 at Camp Conestoga in Bakersville, PA.  Scouts of all faiths are welcome!  This retreatoree is open to all Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Venture Scouts, Explorers, Camp Fire Boys & Girls and Webelos.  The theme this year is "Live on in My Love."  Total cost per person is $25 (if registered by September 7), which includes all meals, snacks, T-shirt, patch and program.  The weekend will end with Mass on Sunday at 9:30 AM.  Scouts may register either as a troop or as individuals.  Individuals will be teamed up with existing troops.  Scout Troops and Individual Scouts attending are asked to provide their own tents for the weekend.

Check-in begins on Friday, September 17 at 6:00 PM and the program begins at 8:00 PM.  A current annual Health and Medical Record form is required for all participants.  The pre-registration deadline is September 7 and the late registration fee is $30 per person.  All adults are welcome to attend the Adult Scouter Development course on Saturday, September 18.  The cost for program materials is $10 if not attending the Retreatoree.
