Lenten Seafood Dinners

Starting February 24 we will again have our Lenten Seafood Dinners on Fridays during Lent. The dinners will be from 4 pm to 7 pm in our parish hall. Take out is available. The cost is: Adults: $10.00 Children 6-12: $4.00 Kids under 6: Free

Wanted: Workers and Bakers

Workers and bakers are needed for our Lenten Dinners which start on February 24. Please take a few minutes to stop by the sign up board in the vestibule and volunteer to work at and/or bake for one or more of our Lenten Dinners. As you know these dinners are our single biggest fundraiser each year and it takes a lot of people to make it work. We need everything from waitresses (or waiters) to dish washers to dessert servers to table setters.

Sarris Easter Candy Sale

Our parish’s annual Sarris Easter Candy Sale is getting underway and will continue for two more weeks. Extra forms are available on the literature table in the church vestibule. You can also download and print a copy of the order form using this link. Please place your completed order forms in the “Easter Candy box” in the church vestibule. The last day for orders is February 26. Please help us make this important parish fundraising effort successful!

Daffodil Days

Our parish is once again supporting the Indiana County Chapter of the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days. Orders can be placed after Masses February 18 -19 and February 25-26. Pickup dates are March 24 and March 25.

Home Missions of the Americas Collection

Next Sunday, February 26, the Home Missions of the Americas collection will be taken at all Masses. The Catholic Home Missions Appeal works to support home mission dioceses in the United States by supporting seminarian formation in poor dioceses. Often home mission priests and lay ministers require special training to attend to the unique needs of their faith communities. Your support is necessary for the success of these and other projects. Please help strengthen the Church at home through your generosity to this Appeal. Your donation to the Home Missions of the Americas Appeal on the First Sunday of Lent, can be an expression of your faith as we begin this holy season. The envelope for this collection was in your February envelope packet. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated!

Lenten Folders

Lenten Folders are being mailed to all registered households this week. Your use of these folders is intended to help you be more aware of stewardship needs in our parish. If you have not used your folder in past years, won’t you please consider doing so this year?

Daily Lenten Meditations

With Ash Wednesday coming up this week, please take a few minutes a day, maybe five minutes, and use Five Minutes with The Word to grow closer to the Lord throughout Lent. Spending just a few minutes a day reading Five Minutes with The Word is one great way to prepare for Holy Week and Easter. Copies are provided by the parish and located in the vestibule. Please pick one up for your family and start a new Lenten tradition!
