50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Bishop Kulick desires to recognize all couples celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary during the calendar year 2024. The Jubilarians, their children, relatives or friends should contact the parish office:
724-479-3881 to register couples for this recognition by Tuesday, July 23.

The Jubilarians will be invited to join the Bishop for a special Golden Wedding Anniversary Mass to be
celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Even though personal |circumstances may not permit individuals to participate in the Mass, all registered couples will receive a scroll signed by the bishop commemorating their anniversary.

Parish Photo Directory

We are currently considering in doing a Parish Photo Directory and are gauging interest of participation.  We need a minimum of 75 participating households.  Starting this weekend, we will have people from the Parish Photo Directory Committee at the back of Church to determine participation.  We ask that all participate!

Pray the Rosary

One of the traditional prayers we pray as Catholics is the Rosary—an opportunity to give praise to God and seek the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the context of meditating on the mysteries of the life of Jesus.

It is good to pray this prayer alone, but it is even better to pray this prayer together—the Church even offers a plenary indulgence to those who pray the Rosary as a group.  Please remember that every Last Sunday of the month, the Knights of Columbus lead the Rosary before the Sunday Morning Mass (at or shortly after 10:30AM) by putting on your calendar monthly.

As St. Louis de Montfort notes, the Rosary is a devotion that is for everyone: Men and women, the young and old, clergy and laity, the fervent and those who are still “works in progress”. For every soul there are graces to be received and insights to be found.

Our next parish Rosary is Sunday, July 28. Please join us in the Church before Mass to pray the Rosary together, even if you arrive after it has already begun.  Extra Rosaries are available below the Dedication Board in the Narthex.

Love Basket Summer Food Drive July 27-28

The Love Basket is coordinating a mid-year food collection to restock their shelves. During the weekend of July 27-28, boxes will be in the Church Narthex for anyone who chooses to bring non-perishable food items.  They are especially in need of canned fruits, vegetables, tuna and meats, peanut butter, and cereal. If you would prefer to participate by donating a monetary gift, please place it in the collection in an envelope marked “Love Basket” or write “Love Basket” in the memo field of your check.

Love Basket is a non-profit, all-volunteer food assistance program not affiliated with any other agency and receives no government funding. They rely solely on the generosity of churches, schools, businesses and private residents. Thank you in advance —many throughout our county are grateful for your generosity.
