2022 and 2023 Masses and Candles Available

We have processed initial requests for Masses and Candles for 2023 and are now able to take unlimited requests.  Please use the Form available in the Church Narthex.  We also have a small number of Masses available for the rest of 2022.

If you have received money for Masses upon the death of a loved one or would like to have Masses scheduled periodically, please forward the stipends to the Parish Office and we will begin to schedule them.

Little Blue Books and 2023 Calendars

You will find Advent Little Blue Books (regular and large print) and 2023 Calendars in the Church Narthex.  Please take these and make use of them yourselves or share them with others!

We are asking for a free-will donation for the Little Books.  The parish purchases them well in advance of each season, but your donation helps defray the costs.

Calendars are provided to us courtesy of James Ferguson Funeral Home, Blairsville and Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville—we are grateful for their ongoing support!

Increased and Online Giving

As part of our campaign, please prayerfully consider an increase in your donation to support our Parish.  In addition to an increased weekly or monthly gift, consider making use of scheduled gifts—several parishioners use scheduled “bank checks” for their offertory.

Another option for scheduled giving is in the form of online giving.  I am happy to announce that we are now working with Our Sunday Visitor (the same company that prints our envelopes) to provide an online giving portal that can be accessed at link.goodshepherdkent.org/OnlineGiving.  Look for more details soon.

If you prefer envelopes, no worries—we will continue to provide envelopes for those who wish to use them.

Don’t Forget DLA Late Year Gifts

Although we have reached our Parish Goal for this year’s Diocesan Lenten Appeal, please remember that you are still able to give toward the collection until the end of the year.  100% of what is collected for DLA at this phase of the campaign remains in the Parish with no further assessment by the Diocese.

Mass Intentions

The Mass Book for 2023 have opened.  Click here to download the Mass Intention and Candle Form for 2023 here.

You may fill out and return this form to the Parish Office or in the Collection Basket at any time; Masses will be scheduled first-come-first-served.  Instructions are on the form.  We are asking that each household only request up to three Masses at this time; I will notify everyone when more Masses may be scheduled.  You may continue to schedule Masses for remaining weekdays/weekends of 2022 at any time using the yellow forms in the Narthex.
